According to a story in the Mainichi Shimbun, the yakuza believes that a police-organized video campaign against organized crime gangs will lead to the children of the mafiosos being bullied in school, accusing the prefectural police of discrimination.
It’s actually kind of ballsy of them, I think. Instead of going in with blazing guns and blowing up the police headquarters like they would have done in Russia or China (What do you mean, prejudice? Me?), they have their “supreme adviser” write a nice letter to the police. It’s all good over here in Japan.
