About

This blog is, like most other blogs, an attempt at socially acceptable narcissism under the, by now, thin excuse of being in Japan. For more examples of similar-themed blogs, check out the pages of Micke, Tomo and Peter.

I do actually live in Japan, so the thin excuse mentioned above has a little substance. I started out with the goal of conveying some of the cultural experiences gained while working here in Tokyo, but this sort of fell on its face, since I simply didn’t (Except in this one post). Instead, my (very small) audience was treated to gems such as “Gomen ne” (apologizing for not posting very often), and some attempts from my side at looking at Japanese design from different perspectives. This, too, didn’t get very far (Yet. I still have aspirations in this field, but I simply haven’t had time. Or so I like to tell myself, and the occasional reader who complains), so far there is one post in this category.

So, then you might ask yourself, what the heck is going on here? Well, from my recent posts it might look like I am trying to go into the slightly overpopulated field of blogs dealing with web 2.0 technologies. I won’t. Promise. I was just a bit excited about some new stuff, maybe there’s a bit of my inner nerd peeking through the surface sometimes (As Peter pointed out). Instead, I will try to write about things that I do that I find interesting, post some photos, and maybe sometimes attempt some analysis of interesting issues. Hmm. Sounds just like a…. a…. a blog!
If you feel like it, pop me some comments. I answer most of them :-)
